HISTORY: January 7, 1966 at Madison Square Garden in New York light heavyweight Harold Johnson won a ten round decision over Johnny Persol. On the undercard in a heavyweight match Buster Mathis stopped Chuck Wepner in the 3rd round and in a middleweight match Pete Toro knocked out Bobby Cassidy in the 2nd round.
