LANGFORD, SAM-BILL LANG OFFICIAL PROGRAM (1911)

On February 21, 1911 at the Olympia in Kensington, Australia heavyweights Sam Langford and Bill Lang battled in the main event. Langford prevailed when Lang was disqualified in the 6th round. The weight of the men was given as 166 pounds for Langford and 203 pounds for Lang. Eugene Corri, the referee, disqualified Lang in the sixth round for fouling. At that time Lang was practically helpless from the beating he had received. Offered here is a rare, original, official program for this event
