HISTORY: On June 20, 1980 Roberto Duran defeated Sugar Ray Leonard by 15 round decision to win the World Welterweight Title. The two rematched On November 25, 1980 in New Orleans. This time the outcome was different. From the outset Leonard utilized his adept boxing skills and superior speed to dominate Duran. In round 8 a frustrated Duran declared "No Mas" and although seemingly unhurt, he quit fighting. This came as a shock to the boxing world who had long admired Duran for his grit and toughness. Presented here is the official program to this fight which has been autographed on the cover by both fighters.
FULL DESCRIPTION: This official program is 22 pages. It includes photographs, stories and records of both fighters. The scorecard is unscored. Clean inside and out. No creases, rips or tears. The cover has been boldly signed in blue sharpie by both fighters. I had these autographs obtained personally. Duran signed at a private session at his apartment in Miami in 1994. The following year I obtained Leonard at a card show in Atlantic City. 8 1/2" x 10 3/4".
