LESNEVICH, GUS SIGNED PHOTO

Gus Lesnevich was born on February 22, 1915 in Cliffside Park, New Jersey. On May 22, 1941 he defeated Anton Christofordis to win the NBA Light Heavyweight Title. He won the World Light Heavyweight Title on August 26, 1941 from Tami Mauriello. He retired after losing to Ezzard Charles on August 10, 1949 with a final record of 60-14-5 with 23 KO's. Gus Lesnevich has boldly signed this 6 1/2" x 8 1/2" photo in blue pen. He has inscribed it, "To Dick Remember M Remember E Put them together and Remember me. TO a Swell Guy Dick Good Luck Gus Lesnevich L.H.W. Champ May 11, 1946." The corners are slightly soft. No rips or tears. Clean signature.
