HISTORY: Joe Louis was born on May 13, 1914 in Lafayette, Alabama. On June 22, 1937 he won the World Heavyweight Title from James J. Braddock. He retired after losing to Rocky Marciano on October 26, 1951. His final record was 63-3. Offered here is an original, plaster, painted bust figurine of Joe Louis produced in 1935. Artist markings on back with date 1935.
FULL DESCRIPTION: This is a plaster, painted bust featuring Joe Louis on a base with the title, "JOE LOUIS." In excellent condition. Minor paint chips and rubs. No cracks. One of the best conditioned examples we have seen. 7" high. Vintage 1935.
