MCTIGUE, MIKE WIRE PHOTO

Mike McTigue was born on November 26, 1892 in Killmonaugh Parish, County Clare, Ireland. On November 10, 1921 he won the Canadian Middleweight Title from Roddy McDonald. He won the World Light Heavyweight Title on March 17, 1923 against Battling Siki. He retired after a losing battle with Garfield Johnson on September 22, 1930 with a record of 104-45-10 with 53 KO's, 6 no decisions and 1 no contest. Presented here is an antique wirephoto of Mike McTigue, jump roping on the SS Berengaria.
This antique wirephoto of Mike McTigue is 6 1/2" x 8 1/2." There are small creases in the corners and along the edges and there is a diagonal crease in the center of the photo. No rips or tears.
