Charlie Mitchell was born on November 24, 1861 in Birmingham, England. He was a heavyweight contender in the 1870's and 1880's and fought Jake Kilrain, John L. Sullivan, and Jim Corbett during his career. Presented here is an antique photo of Mitchell.
