On August 13, 1903 at Mechanic's Pavilion in San Francisco world bantamweight champion Harry Forbes defended hsi title against an old foe, Frankie Neil. Neil knocked Forbes out in the 2nd round to win the title. Forbes was down three times and counted out in the second round. Offered here is an original, first generation photograph taken by the notable Dana Studios depicting the two fighters in the ring squaring off before the fight began.
