Ruben Olivares was born on January 14, 1947 in Mexico City, Mexico. He won the World Bantamweight Title on December 12, 1969 from Alan Rudkin. He also won the NABF Featherweight, WBA Featherweight, and WBC Featherweight Titles. He retired after defeating Roman Almaguer with a final record of 87-12-3 with 77 KO's.
