PATTERSON, FLOYD SWEDISH EXHIBITION PROGRAM (1960)

On June 20, 1960 World Heavyweight Champion Ingemar Johansson defended his title against the man he took it from the year before, Floyd Patterson. The fight was at the Polo Grounds in New York. Patterson avenged his loss stopping Johansson in the 5th round. Patterson, the first man in boxing history to regain the heavyweight title after losing it made a tour of Johansson's homeland between August 10th and August 21th, 1960. Offered here is a very rare, original, official program for this exhibition tour by Patterson to Sweden.
This is an original, official program picturing Patterson on the cover and consisting of 8 pages complete. All in Swedish. Not scored or written on. Slight separation of interior page, but still intact. Mild center crease. Clean inside and out. 6" x 8 1/4." Rare, the first we have offered.
