PETERSEN, JACK SIGNED PHOTO

Jack Petersen was born in Cardiff, Wales on September 2, 1911. He fought his first professional fight on September 21, 1931 with a 4th round stoppage of Bill Partridge. On May 23, 1932 he defeated Harry Crossley to win the British Light Heavyweight Title. On July 12, 1933 he defeated Jack Doyle, winning by 2nd round disqualification, to capture the British Heavyweight Title. He went on to defeat Larry Gains, Jock McAvoy and Len Harvey before retiring in 1937. His final record was 33-5. he passed away in 1990. Offered here is a very scarce signed photograph of Jack Petersen.
