HISTORY: On February 3, 1968 at the Oakland Coliseum in Oakland, California heavyweights Thad Spencer and Jerry Quarry battled in a title elimination tournament. Quarry prevailed and stopped Spencer in the 12th round. This was part of the WBA Heavyweight Elimination Tournament (Spencer rated #2 Ring Magazine at the time).
