ROBINSON, SUGAR RAY-AL NETTLOW ORIGINAL PHOTO (1942-3RD ROUND)

On December 14, 1942 at Convention Hall in Philadelphia undefeated welterweight star Sugar Ray Robinson fought Al Nettlow in the main event. Robinson stopped Nettlow in the third round. The paid attendance was 7,868 and promoter Herman Taylor donated the profit from this card to the USO. Offered here is an original, first generation photo depicting Nettlow down in the corner with Robinson standing over him.
