On May 28, 1942 at Madison Square Garden in New York welterweights Sugar Ray Robinson and Marty Servo squared off in the main event. Robinson won a very close 10 round split decision. Robinson "prevailed by a narrow margin and the crowd of 15000 vociferously disapproved of the decision." The referee gave the bout to Servo, but both judges voted for Robinson (New York Times). Offered here is a very scarce original, official program for this event.
