On June 27, 1929 at Yankee Stadium in New York future heavyweight champion Max Schmeling fought tough Paolino Uzcudun in the main event. Schmeling prevailed winning a 15 round decision. Offered here is an original wire photo depicting the two fighters at the weighin on the day of the fight.
