HISTORY: Jack Sharkey was born on October, 26, 1902 in Binghamton, New York. He won the World Heavyweight Title on June 21, 1932 from Max Schmeling. He retired after losing to Joe Louis on August 18, 1936 with a final record of 38-14-3 with 14 KO's. Presented here is a signed photo of Jack Sharkey. Signed in vintage hand in 1928 to world bantamweight champion Joe Lynch.
FULL DESCRIPTION: Jack Sharkey has boldly signed this 4 1/2" x 7 1/2"" photo in blue ink. He has inscribed it, "To a great fighter "Little Joe Lynch Best Wishes Jack Sharkey Aug 6, 1928." Not creased or torn. One spot at lower left corner, otherwise clean. Vintage signed photos of Jack Sharkey are quite scarce.
