On February 27, 1929 at Flamingo Park Arena in Miami Beach future world heavyweight champion Jack Sharkey fought Young Stribling in a featured elimination contest. Sharkey prevailed winning a ten round decision. A heavyweight title elimination bout, arranged by Tex Rickard before his death the month before. Held under the auspices of the American Legion, as required by Florida law. Offered here is a rare, original, training camp pass for this fight which has been signed by former champion Jack Dempsey
This is an original, numbered, traing camp pass. Boldly signed on the front in ink by Jack Dempsey. Bold color and print. Has a center crease. Clean. 2 1/4" x 3 7/8." Rare, the only we have seen.
