Battling Siki was born on Sep 16, 1897 in Senegal. He defeated Georges Carpentier on September 24, 1922 to win the Light Heavyweight Championship of the World. He also fought Mike McTigue, Jack Johnson and others during his career. Offered here is an original, vintage, real photo postcard of Battling Siki.
This is an original, unused French real photo postcard of Siki in training togs. Photographer stamp at lower right corner. Clean front and back. Not creased or torn. Very minor edge wear. 3 1/2" x 5 1/4." Rare, the first we have seen.
