HISTORY: On December 27, 1985 at the Latham Coliseum in Latham, New York rising heavyweight star Mike Tyson fought Mark Young in the featured bout. Tyson stopped Young at 50 seconds of the very first round. Mike Tyson 14-0 (14 KOs) vs. Mark Young (Young's record was announced as 12-4-1 (8 KOs). It was Tyson's 15th fight in ten months and his last of 1985. Bout Summary-Young came out aggressively and looked to exchange power punches with Tyson. A quick right uppercut clipped Young on the chin and sent him back into the ropes and down face first. The referee stopped his count and waved an end to the fight as Young did not move. He was rolled over by the referee and ringside physician and remained down in the ring for a couple minutes following the knockout. Quote-"I expected him to come out fight, but I was ready. I expect them (opponents) to be hungry, but I'm hungrier." - Mike Tyson. Also on the show lightweight Edwin Rosario stopped Roque Montoya in the 7th round.
