WELSH, FREDDIE SIGNED ANTIQUE PHOTO

Freddy Welsh was born on March 5, 1886 in Wales. He defeated Willie Ritchie after 20 rounds on July 7, 1914 to win the Lightweight Championship. He retired after losing to Archie Walker on April 15, 1922 with a final record of 120-27-16. Presented here is a signed original antique mounted photo of Freddie Walsh. The photographer is stamped on the mount (Hana Studios of London)
Freddie Walsh has boldly signed this 3 3/4" x 5 1/2" original mounted photo in black ink. He has inscribed it, "To my friend Albert Davies With every good wish From Fred Walsh Wales (Lightweight Champion." It has been dated Vancouver, B.C. Sept 18-1913. There is a rip in the photo with some light soiling. Clean signature.
